About 4-Rent on Oahu

I live on this island. I have looked for a place here the same way everyone else does: open a site, fill a form, wait. Then a stranger calls, not the office on the sign.

That seemingly endless loop you get stuck in is the product. Your info, your search is the product. Your name, phone, and email get sold as a lead. The listing office already has the keys. I got tired of watching people get gated out of a call they should have been able to make themselves.

So I built 4-Rent on Oahu. Call the landlord or listing office direct.

Full transparency.

On sites like Zillow, renting looks simple. You search. You click Call or Schedule a tour. They already have your name, phone, and email. That click does not go to the office on the listing. It goes to the next paying Premier Agent in line. That person did not list the unit you liked. Their job is a sale. The pitch is usually “why waste your money on rent,” then a calendar of homes for sale. I share that sentiment. Rent is a waste of your hard earned money. Using it as a reason to hide the listor is the problem. You searched a rental. You should still get that call.

The flaw is the gate. They hold the listor's number because a buyer pays more than a renter. You never get the person who can actually rent you that unit.

4-Rent on Oahu is the other way. The card shows the landlord or listing office. You call them. I do not sit in the middle. I do not sell the lead. I do not try to flip you into a purchase.

Put every active Oahu rental from the MLS site directly in one place, with a clean, easy to use UI. Show who listed it on the card. Let you call or email that office. No forms. No one in the middle.
